Thanks but I am SO ANGRY right now. I guess I just need to move on
and get over it. It's almost been a year and I still have NO IDEA
why she's mad at me. Last time we spoke everything was fine.
apparently, i'm good enough to have my 13-year-old nephew stay in my home.....my sister,.
his mother, has gone jw crazy again after fading over 20 years ago.
my nephew told me that.

I'm not "allowed" on their Facebooks. But I guess I'm okay for a place to stay, ample food, and
nice treatment by myself and my son.
I was so upset I emailed her about it...the response? "Glad that L and Z are having a good time."
apologies if this is old news.

Ugh... I forced myself to listen to this in its entirety. Howcome all of the speeakers sound
the same. It was a deja vu moment from my childhood..that slow, monotonous, second grade
tone. He said secret place 38 times and I am still not sure what he means by that. Funny how
depression is mentioned. NEVER mentioned when I was growing up. Jehovah didn't allow that.
Also, the what wordly man doesn't have coercion part made me vomit. The nicest men I've known
have not a religious leaning whatsoever. i think i need some maalox
i've been offered the option of working from 8 pm until 4 am.. pay is a little more.. the only drawback is the drive to and fro.. have you ever done something similar?.
syl.
Depends on your body. Some people can't adjust to the shift of schedule and
sleeping irregular hours. Make sure you get good blackout curtains in your bedroom.
That helps. What is it? Nursing?
something like: "would jesus do that/go there?
" i tell them: "would he own a luxurious bmw or mercendes?".
what are some quotes/expressions invented by jw's that really pissed you off?.
Faithful and discreet slave..WTF???
the definition of "pot meets kettle".
this is just to funny.
how is anyone supposed to take religion seriously, really.. .
I don't understand why he is still dressing and acting so gay if he's cured.
Notice the wedding ring??
a few months ago my sister (baptised when she was 16 and left at 18 now 44 but not "formally" dfd).
came "back to the fold.
" she hasn't spoken to me but has to my younger sister.
A few months ago my sister (baptised when she was 16 and left at 18 now 44 but not "formally" dfd)
came "back to the fold." She hasn't spoken to me but has to my younger sister. She called her at 1:00
last sat night. My little sister said she sounded different...yeah, brainwashed. She emailed me and
said that she has to distance herself from me because our values are so different. (I can tell you a few
stories about her!!!) Anyway, she encourged me to study the history of JWs using books (not the web)
which is exactly what I did. Even better, I used ALL Society publications. Should I tell her that I researched
everything or just leave it alone????
who were your past circuit overseers?
i'm sure a lot of us actually know mutual people, as the co's relocate all over the country.. here's a few from the southeast us: (let me know if you recognize any names and post yours too please...).
ellwood johnson (new york/philadelphia area for several years also).
I hated all of them. They seemed old, staid and fuddy-duds. They also came over
our house a lot and ate VAST amounts of food and hinted that they needed gas money,
even though my family was virtually on the poverty line.
during my trek through the jw's i often heard talks and comments stating how witnesses were humble and meek, unlike the haughty-title loving people of the world especially christendom.
well i just received my 2010 alumni directory that covers everyone who graduated from the two high schools that were part of the district i live in.. so i spent the afternoon parusing its pages when i came across a listing for a guy who is now an elder in the congregation i used to attend.
here is how he describes himself.
Any feedback on this? I have been a court reporter for almost 18 years, both in court and
freelance. After 10 LONG years in the official arena, I am thinking about starting up on my
own. I ordered business cards and created my own website so all I need is to make that
final step. Have any of you started up your own business recently? I am scared as heck but my job
is making me a wreck. (I have two years to go until I finish my undergrad in accounting.)
if you were raised a jw, how well did you research the history of the org.
before you were baptized?
if you were a convert to the watchtower society , how well did you know the doctrines of the faith before your conversion?
Born in. My grandmother became a JW in the early 50s and my mother converted my
father, if you want to call it that. He's one of those half in half out hanger-ongers even
after 40 years hasn't made a MS. My older sister was nuts and got baptized at 16. I knew
from as early as about five that as soon as I was old enough to leave I would, and I did.
I never bought into the BS. Had some pretty good friends though. Still have one who's
still a JW but we don't talk shop....
